4 Days 3 Nights Washington D.C./Mount Vernon, Alexandria W.V./Niagara Falls Corning and Thousand Island Tour
We depart the tri-state area, headed for George Washington's Mansion, in Mount Vernon. Upon arrival at Alexandria Dock in Old Town Alexandria Virginia, we will board the Mount Vernon Cruise, where we will ride down the Potomac River. Taking in the beautiful sights on both sides of the river, until we arrive at George Washington's Mount Vernon. Here you will visit the home of George and Martha Washington, the most popular historic estate in America. Home to George Washington for over forty years, visit the mansion (original furnishings and era artifacts), Washington's Tomb and nearly 50 acres of his plantation, a working blacksmith shop and a re-constructed slave cabin. Followed by a wonderful dinner and shopping in Old Town Alexandria, V.A. We then head to our hotel, for a clean comfortable night's rest.
After departing Hotel, we start our day in Washington D.C.. Visiting the White House, Capitol Hill, Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Memorial, Vietnam War Memorial, Cherry Blossom (seasonal), Franklin Elenor Roosevelt Memorial and the Air & Space Museum. We then have a hearty dinner and spend the night in Washington D.C..
After a wonderful continental breakfast we travel towards Corning N.Y.. Here we will have lunch at the Corning Museum of Glass. View the incredible glass gift ware and souvenir shop. We continue our trip, with our arrival at the National State Park of Niagara Falls. Here we board the legendary boat ride "Maid of the Mist". We proceed to dinner, followed by the night view on Goat Island. Here we enter the Cave of the Winds to see the Night Rainbow. Then back to the hotel in Buffalo, N.Y. (twenty miles away).
Destined towards Alexandria Bay, New York. Upon arrival you will have the chance to stroll down James Street and enjoy the wonderful specialty stores, restaurants and souvenir shop. We then board the boat that will tour us through one of the most unusual settings you'll ever see. The St. Lawrence River is comprised of 1,860 islands, that dot and decorate this area for centuries and is noted for it's rich history and preservation of such. Sit back and enjoy all the memorable beauty this tour has to offer. We then return to our waiting motor coach bus, for a safe trip home.
